About Dom Tápparo 

Dom Tápparo was born as an initiative of Mr José Tápparo in 1978,

when he decided to produce cachaça as a gift for his family and friends. The

cachaça was so well received that people started wanting to buy it. As a result,

José Tápparo saw this as a business opportunity.

 

Through the years, the distillery expanded and began producing

various types of cachaça, alcoholic cocktails and liqueurs.

Nowadays, the company relies on the third generation of the Tápparo family.

 

In 2015, the "Cachaça Cabaré" produced by the Dom Tápparo Distillery

was born, becoming the favourite of singer Leonardo and all of Brazil,

a true showcase for cachaça! From Brazil to the world, in 2022 the

Extra Premium Cachaças from the Dom Tápparo Distillery were

awarded the prestigious title of World's Best Cachaça at The Global

Spirits Masters competition, held in the UK.

The ageing process

The cachaça is placed in barrels that can impart smoothness,

color, and flavor to the drink.

The woods used by the Dom Tápparo Distillery include Amburana,

Amendoim (Peanut), American Oak, European Oak, and Jequitibá.

Amburana, Amendoim, and Jequitibá are Brazilian woods, while

European Oak and American Oak are imported woods.
